About this event
Annual Precision Rifle Club Championship
The winner's name will be engraved in the 2026 spot of the championship plaque.
A total of 30+ rounds is recommended to cover scored shots, sighters & a potential tie breaker.
The match will consist of 20 rounds for score, 10 shots from 200 yards & 10 shots from 290 yards. We will use official IBS benchrest targets, shown below, for each distance.
Standard match rules below apply, with the exception of ties. Ties will be broken with a sudden-death, side-by-side shootout.
Match Rules
- All rifles must be under .50 caliber and produce less than 4,000 ft-lbs of energy at the muzzle
- All rests / bipods allowed. Target cameras will be in use.
- Three benches will be used simultaneously.
- Shooters will be called to the benches to fire 10 rounds at the 200 yard targets. After all 3 shooters have completed fire, targets will be retrieved and replaced for the next relay of shooters.
- When all 200 yard shooting is complete, shooters will return to the benches to shoot 10 shots at the 290 yard distance.
- After all relays are complete at both distances, shooters' scores will be totaled to determine placing.
COLD RANGE PRE-MATCH: Range will be cold the entire morning prior to the match. Sighter shots are incorporated into each round of fire. Shooters will be allowed 3 sighters before the first round of fire & 2 sighters before scored shots begin at the 290 yard distance.
